The cycle route network makes it easy for you to access the park by bike. Junctions 71, 91 and 92 are located on and around the park. The most attractive way to reach the Bokrijk Museum is through our spectacular “Cycling through Water” bike path. There are covered bicycle parking areas on both Parking 1 and Parking 2. These bicycle parking facilities offer charging points for electric bikes.
Bokrijk has a railway station and it is only a 5-minute walk from the park. If you visit the Open-Air Museum with your family, a B-Dagtrip (B-Day trip) is an attractive combined ticket. It allows children under the age of twelve to use the train free of charge. With this combiticket, you buy a ticket at your point of departure that includes both travel and entry to the Open-Air Museum. A train arrives every hour on weekends and weekdays. There are direct trains from Ghent, Brussels, Leuven, Tienen, Landen, Sint-Truiden and Alken.
There are 2 large car parks at Bokrijk: Parking 1 and Parking 2. Both car parks have allocated areas for visitors with disabilities. And there are charging points for electric cars. These are located in both car parks, next to the ticket booths. Parking (full day, charged from 4 April to 2 November and during events at other times): €5.00. The first 30 minutes in our car park are free of charge. You can just drive in and out, and there is no validation required at a payment machine. Bus Parking: free Toilets: free
